Not a clue. BTW. I think I am guilty of hijacking this thread and taking it off topic. I apologize. Let's get back to posting Ok pictures okay?

At the top/left of the pole you see 3 pulleys, that's what gave it away for me.
Being "mechanically inclined" helped too.
Anyway,The wires were just being hung by the electrical company. The wires were layed out on the ground at about a mile stretch between the spools.
I'm sure we've all seen these Utility trucks with large spools on the back.
(figured it out yet?)
The pulleys on the poles were used as "block and tackle" to help raise the wires.
The Moose (like cats) had to inspect and when the spools (a mile away) started turning to to raise the wires, they caught the Mooses antlers and pulled him up with them.
These trucks have "tension meters" to show the proper degree of tension the wires should be at, but no matter what they did, the meters showed a high degree of tention. So they sent some linemen out the check the problem and this is what they found.
Now they couldn't just lower the wires because, well you know how an animal would be kicking to try and get loose? And if the wires were loosened it would slip off of the wires and most likely fall to it's death. so they put a safety net under it as they while they lowered it to the ground.
I don't know about the utility workers, but I would leave plenty of clearance between me and the moose when it got back on it's feet because I'm sure the bull was madder than hell.
This has happened the several animals with antlers. I've seen pictures of Deer, Elk and Mountain Goats hangin' out like this.

SIR, YES, SIR! These are oldies, but maybe others can post their oldies, just to share with some of the newbies visiting our okie threads.
Here is a pic from last year's ice storm. Ice on the pickup.
Rainy summer brought lots of cloud pics. Here is one I liked. This cloud just kept getting lower.

We went to eat at a Route 66 place in Yukon.
Sid's has onion burgers.
It is touristy, but mostly local people were there.
To make it more like a White Castle, I put the pickles on the burger and let them warm up a while. YUM!
Elvis is in the building.
Get your kicks on Route 66.

Synopsis.
Those are beautiful pictures! The 2nd one reminds me of a time not long ago when first got to OK. and I was driving back from Lawton.
I had to go to Lawton to set up some accounts. I was there most of the day and on my way back in the evening. I glanced in the rearview and saw this beautiful red, pink and orange sunset. It literaly took my breath. I had to pull over and get out so I could gaze at it for awhile.

Peggy,
You mentioned Route 66 and I just remembered and article I read on another forum that I'm the Editor for.

Great pictures Peggy. All of your pics make me hungry.
I'm like you, and probably many others MK. If I see a sunset like that I feel that it's a crime to not stop and soak it in. It truly is one of the most beautiful spectacles in the world. One of natures reoccurring wonders; Oklahoma has spectacular sunsets.
