Ha, I hear ya. Although the more I think of it the more it seems that yellowish may be more caused by the lack of rain. 0.67 inches at my house this month, it's gone all around here lately.

From what we saw last year, I think eastern OK would be absolutely beautiful in the autumn~Maybe around the beginning of Nov. We drove all along the eastern border of OK/Ark and some of the trees were just starting to turn a bit.
Actually Synopsis, I kind of like the climate you're describing. Give me those hot summer days.

Thanks for sharing the photo. Really pretty. I have yet to see fall colors although the leaves are falling a little.
Waiting for the pelicans to come down to Grove from Kansas. I think Dorothy kidnapped them. Then I want to go back up to Grove and watch them. Plus I just learned that the library there has a 100 year old pelican--stuffed or mumified? They named it Monk because the Catholic monks had it in their possession. Anyway, that is a side note.
The hummingbirds are leaving, but there are a few left that are drinking from my bird feeder. I was told to keep food out for the stragglers.
The first thing I noticed when it began cooling off was that the locusts were almost gone.

Grove is one of the nicest towns we've ever seen. I guess I've already posted that Grove, Keystone, SD, and Lake Placid, Fl are just the neatest towns. Just too bad that employment is scarce in those areas.
Jessaka, did you get to go to Grove already? Are you going for the Pelican Festival there?
Oh sorry, I just saw in another thread that you were there. LOL

The pelicans are in Kansas, and as soon as they arrive, not this week, i am going back. there is a man there that makes brooms and dustpans. I want more dustpan for Christmas gifts because they are better than anything you can buy. We really loved the Grove area, so I understand why you do.

I need a new dustpan! My plastic one from Wal-Mart is not that great.
Here are some pictures of the Eufaula dam, and fishermen below the dam:
The road across the dam
Below the dam:
Rocky cliffs above the dam:
Across the dam. Uh-oh, if that horn sounds I am ready to run!
Guys fishing:
Hurry, its time to catch some fish!
The dam:
The powerhouse. I'm going to make these large, because when you are there the dam is very large.

Once again, great Eufaula pics.
I really enjoyed the pics of the dam area. Do let us know when the Pelicans make it to Grand Lake. I can't wait to visit Oklahoma or actually live there in the Fall. But, back to work for now. No leaves changing colors in Pensacola, but at least we have not had any serious storms--yet.

Pensacola is a nice place. One of our sons was stationed there at the Air Station and we visited there. We stayed out on Santa Rosa Island. I found the most shells ever there. Pensacola has a downtown area that is unique and very historical. We went out to an old fort at the end of the island.
You don't have long to go as far as storms go. Isn't November the last month of hurricane season?

Peggy, those are really nice pics. (Picture addict is in 7th Heaven now) It looks like it's SO nice and green there yet~not a hint of the leaves turning on those pics. Our trees are mixed right now~actually still more green then anything, but we've had such awful winds that the pretty gold leaves have blown away already.
We've never been to Pensacola, but central Fla. is very nice, too. We love the palm trees and the warmth there. Probably just more other issues then we feel like dealing with anymore in life.
