Default Oklahoma's Fallen Soldiers.

In honor of the 45th Infantry Soldier's who recently paid the ultimate sacrifice.





2LT Ewy:

33, of Edmond, Okla.; assigned to 1st Battalion, 279th Infantry Regiment, 45th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, Oklahoma Army National Guard, Tulsa, Okla.; died July 29 in Paktya province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when insurgents attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device. Also killed was Spc. Augustus J. Vicari.

Spc Vicari:

22, of Broken Arrow, Okla.; assigned to 1st Battalion, 279th Infantry Regiment, 45th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, Oklahoma Army National Guard, Tulsa, Okla.; died July 29 in Paktya province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when insurgents attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device. Also killed was 2nd Lt. Jered W. Ewy.

SSgt Owen:

37, of Sapulpa, Okla.; assigned to 1st Battalion, 279th Infantry Regiment, 45th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, Oklahoma National Guard; died Aug. 2 in Paktya province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when insurgents attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device.

Sgt Peterson:

24, of Chelsea, Okla.; assigned to the 1st Battalion, 279th Infantry Regiment, 45th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, Oklahoma National Guard, Tulsa, Okla.; died Aug. 4 in Paktia province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when insurgents attacked his unit with small arms fire.

Spc. Francisco Briseno-Alvarez Jr. (27yrs old) from Oklahoma city is the 12th 45th Infantry Soldier to die in combat.

Two more Oklahoma 45th Infantry soldiers lost their lives in Afghanistan on Nov 1st.

26yr old Spc Gailey of Ochelata, Ok and 19yr old PFC Sarina Butcher of Checotah, Ok.
