I do believe you nailed it! Kingfisher has the right population and is also probably about 40 minutes from Guthrie, El Reno, and parts of OKC (hence the chuck e. cheese). Good job.

Nearest McDonalds would be Oklahoma City depending upon exactly where in Kingfisher one lived. And it would be about 40 minutes.

Kingfisher is about 4500 population and does have a KFC - Taco Bell combo.

Kingfisher County was just on the news. They were flooded. He sure picked an interesting time to come to Oklahoma.

I see that storm is just kind of sitting up in Eastern Oklahoma now. Man, that was something they didn't see coming until the last minute.

Talking about those blogs of people who move from L.A. to a small town, I think those would be really good for people making the move.

I still have those moments. I went to Rush Hour 3 in Seminole Thursday nite at 7 pm. When I got there at 15 mintues til 7, I was the only one there and the kid took my money, then ran around behind the concessions counter and got my popcorn. It was funny.

If this were L.A. there would have been a line of people. Eventually, there were maybe 10 people or so in the theater.

When my friend bought his first calf, he was in a volkswagon. He didn't want the calf to poop in his car, so he put a diaper on it. People were looking and laughing at the sight of a calf in the back seat of a VW with a diaper on.

That is so funny! I lived in Frederick Oklahoma for three years- from Western NY... culture shock... no McDonald's in sight! We had to drive almost 30 min for a decent grocery store in Texas! The town was over the moon when the Dairy Queen arrived!!!! I loved this... thanks for the memories....
