Thanks, so do we...
I feel like a part of me is missing.
I'm not looking forward to getting exposed to all the new and exciting Okie
germs that we have no immunity to...
Sounds Like Colleen picked one up.
So how far is Enid from Duncan?
Is it a do-able commute?

It's only 180 miles from Duncan to Enid.. So yes, it is doable if you like to drive and I mean REALLY like to drive!

A distance like that isn't so much a matter of liking to drive, it's a matter of the daily commute eating up the whole paycheck and then some! Gas is cheaper in OK than WA, but in the Seattle area, people are stealing gas like crazy just to be able to drive to work every day, if what I hear on the news is accurate.

I bet fajitas don't taste as good the SECOND time around.

I hope she has a mild case and gets better soon. Being sick sucks rotten eggs!
Oh, and NOTHING tastes good the second time around. Except jello, and it doesn't taste good, either. it just provides relief from dry heaves.

I seriously doubt it, it shows that it way above OKC and OKC is 73 miles north of Duncan.
But my resume will be on file for 1 years and if anything comes up after my lease expires in July I can always relocate.

The CD site says it's 8 miles from OKC. But that's still about a 150 mile or more round trip. Might as well have stayed in CA, if you're gonna drive like that every day.

Stealing gas? From each other, or gas stations, or what?

Siphoning gas from private cars, stealing from gas stations, loading up after hours from construction sites - anywhere they can get it. And not just gas, diesel, too. Cops caught some guy the other day who'd been caught on tape from a gas station, and they figure he'd gotten away with thousands of gallons. Lame-brained idiot - he was just going to get a ticket for an equipment violation, something like a tail light out - a person would think he'd have been more careful, knowing he was being looked for. I guess that's why so many law-breakers are caught, they're just bone-deep dumb.

In Ca, I was worried about someone punching a hole in the bottom of the gas tank in my truck to steal the gas.
I just found out today that a station near LadyRobyn and me has there pumps activated all of the time.( someone can pull up, pump their gas and drive off) Their pumps are the older type without the "pay at the pump" system. I ask the lady why they can't contol the pumps at the counter. She said they could but the company wants them to leave the controls off during the day because their going to change the pumps, but still hasn't gotten around to it. So once in awhile they have "drive offs".

Thanks...
She got through the night okay and I don't
have the heart to wake her up this morning.
I survived the fajitas and I'm still alive and well...
So far at least...
