That is definitely some good stuff. I just read the first page (earliest posts) and am trying to figure out which town he's in. Wheat country, town of 4,000, yet 40 minutes from the nearest McDonald's.
My initial guess was he was in Alva and the McDonald's in Woodward, but I think Alva might actually have one, and it would be tough to make the 66 mile drive in 40 minutes.
Any guesses?

Thanks, Synopsis. The first post about the play Oklahoma made me get all teary eyed with memories. The post about Arbuckle Wilderness was simply hilarious. Later I will read them all. I too am curious about which town he lives in.

You must be inside my head valpoguy. I was thinking the same thing. I haven't read a whole lot of it yet but I was wondering just where this guy is. Maybe that's one of the reasons why it's an interesting site?
I love the one about killing a wasp with a hammer! This guy is funny!

I think he lives somewhere around Enid. "Fargo in my small town" makes me think so.

No, he'd have to be somewhere more isolated than that. 40 minutes outside of Enid (which has a McDonalds, of course) in any direction would put him closer than 40 minutes to another McDonalds (in Blackwell, Ponca, Stillwater, Edmond, or Woodward), I'm pretty sure.
I also considered the panhandle, but Guymon has the only McDs out there, and there's no town of 4,000 within 40 minutes of there. (Pretty sure Boise City is further and smaller than that. I also don't think there's wheat clear out there.)
Hmm.....any other guesses?

I'm pretty sure my Alva / Woodward guess is the closest fit. Judging from some of his posts about driving, maybe he really does make 66 miles in 40 minutes.

Just a guess, but maybe Frederick? I agree that he sounds more like NW Oklahoma, and Frederick is SW.
