Default Possible move from Wyoming to Ada, Oklahoma.

Hello everyone,
My family and I are considering a move to Ada. I have a daughter who loves to play Volleyball and is active in FFA here in Wyoming. Does anyone know about High School Volleyball and FFA? Is Ada a good place to raise a family?

Ada isn't bad. It's going to be a little rednecky coming from Laramie which is to my mind more cowboyish than rednecky.

Ada is a bit smaller than Laramie but they seem to be fairly close to the same size. The college at Ada is nice and provides some opportunities like UW does there in Laramie.

I am sure the FFA is strong there and although I can't speak to Volleyball directly, sports are a very big deal in Ada. One of the more sports oriented high schools in the state of Oklahoma.

Ada is on the edge of some pretty country and is a fairly green town by Oklahoma standards. It is also not much over an hour to OKC and Norman which is an advantage.

You might want to check out the Byng school district as well. For lack of a better word, Byng is a suburb of Ada and specifically emphasizes girl's sports. I think there is some development going on out there because of the desirabliity of the school district and it's proximity to Ada.

I wouldn't mind living there.
