Vian is more country like to me, and I liked Vian. Not much in the way of stores there though.
Thanks for the feed back..I stayed in a Motel in Sallisaw a couple of years ago, I dont even remember which one it was now. I had planned to stay a few days but lady that worked in the office acted so weird that I got the heck out of there after one night..LOL I drove around Vian on that trip but since I wasnt' considering a move to Vian I really didnt pay much attention to it....The same goes for Gore...I have noticed that in some of the small towns do have nice homes and then all of a sudden a run down, messy looking mobiles right smack in the middle of town...Thats kind of hard for me to get used to..LOL

I have noticed a lot of comments from out of state posters on that subject. A really nice neighborhood or house is located right next to a rundown place. I never really noticed that before but I suppose it is true sometimes.

No doubt you made the best choice in Tahlequah.

Stillwell is a dump although the setting it in is probably the prettiest.

I lived and worked in Vian for years. Vian has a huge drug problem in town and in the schools. I was a police officer there and moved because I found out that the town boad members had a hand in alot of the drugs comming into town. One of the board members (Vick) works at the school, the police dept. had alot of complaints ref. drugs and actions with under age girls.

Stilwell is like every other town in the U.S. it has a drug problem here. Stilwell also has a police dept. that actively searches for people who try to make a living by selling them and put them in jail. I guess that beter than some towns.

I am considering moving to stilwell or sallisaw. I can find Very little info on stilwell. I will be moving with my mother and grandmother. Because of our healths, we will need certain things. Can anyone tell me..give me any info on which we would better find our needs. Hospital, selection of good doctors, chiropractor?, walmart, library?, home health care agency, internet, other shopping?? Decent housing???
