Default Famous Oklahomans

A poster on another thread asked if Will Rogers was the most famous Oklahoman. Who do you think is the most famous Oklahoman, and why?

Here's who I can think of:

1. Will Rogers - great sense of humor and made a lot of sense
2. Mickey Mantle - great baseball player
3. T. Boone Pickens - smart and rich guy, very charitable, from Holdenville

At this moment it would be Carrie Underwood. But I know that there is a very long list of famous Oklahomans.

Brad Pitt
Dr. Phil
Joan Crawford
Lon Chaney
Jeanne (Jean?) Kirkpatrick

Not 100% sure if all of those were born in OK... they came from a list of "famous people who were born or lived in OK" Dr Phil's wife still has 'kin' in Duncan. She visited awhile back and went though the Drive-thru window at the store where our Daughter works.

From the Show "Will and Grace"... Megan Mullally makes a BIG deal about being from Oklahoma. (And not being included in the pictures adorning Will Rogers Airport )

And more Astronauts too from what I understand. At least back in the day when Astronauts actually went somewhere instead of just circling earth and landing, airplane style.

Since reading this thread yesterday, names such as Ron Howard, John Denver, Sequoyeh, Wilma Mankiller, Bonnie and Clyde, etc. keep going through my head. So this morning I finally found a great list for those who really want to know.
