Great pics, Peggy!
Holdenville looks like such a nice town. It actually looks just like what I pictured Oklahoma looking like. Loved the pic of the horse. BTW, I've been trying to rep just about everyone on this forum for days and I can't do it. I guess I have to go to the NJ forum and do some there to be able to rep anyone here again. ![]() |

Fantastic pictures Peggy. When did Holdenville get a prison? I am sure there was not one there when I was growing up. I know some here work at the prison, but I thought they drove to McAlester State Pen. Again, fantastic pics!

It's been there for about 12 years. It is a private prison (la-de-da).

And they are adding 700 maximum security beds!

Oh yeah, it's real exclusive!
![]() Just kidding. It is run by a private corporation that contracts with the states to take care of the prisoners. |

That place with the junk? It looks like there's a whole greenhouse frame, just waiting for someone to take it home and set it up.
I was going to do that here, but I'd have to set it up at least 3' off the ground and use waders to get to it. Phooey. |

I think they use those frames for their shelters when they are having a sale.
I would like to have a greenhouse, but there would be a lot of problems. Wind & hail destroy them. Then, in the winter we have warm sunny days that can heat the greenhouse up too much, so you have to have expensive vents. |
