Please allow me to recommend Yukon, Oklahoma to you. It's a beautiful but small bedroom community West and (I think) a bit South of OKC. All the amenities of a larger town, VERY low crime, reasonable cost of living (more so than, say, Edmond), and good proximity to the City.

I've lived here all of my life and I really enjoy the weather here. Personally I would much rather run the A.C. than scrape ice off my windshield. Giffins made it sound like Oklahoma is hell on earth during the summer, but i really enjoy the summer until August. If you want hell on earth go down to Texas and experience their summers. I'm sweating just thinking about it! Anyways, The spring and fall seasons in OK are awesome! April untill June are usually range in the 70s to mid 80s and September to mid November range from the 80s in September to the upper 60s in November. Perfect weather if you ask me. Occasionally we will get a small snow in either December, January, or February which is just enough to get my snow fix for the year. I love the weather here especially in May through September when you can open your pool.
