I get the links I am complaining about from the page that lists all the threads in the Oklahoma forum. I have a mac laptop so it is hard to follow PC instructions. I don't have trouble copying any other links to post here, just links to other threads on the forum.

Thanks for trying. I am not very technical minded.

Well thanks jessaka but I'm not a "jeanyous." Peggy, I'll have to look at your posts and see if I can find out why.

Let me try. I copied the link from the web browser's address bar.

It's because your link doesn't contain the entire address peggy. Where are you copying the address from? Your link above doesn't have "oklahoma" after /forum and before other parts of the thread. So, you're obviously copying the link from a location that is not correct. I don't know how you're doing that. All you have to do is go to the thread and highlight the address in your web browser's address bar and then copy that link (on a PC it's CTRL-C, I think it's Command C on the Mac). Then you simply paste the link into your reply to any message.

Hmmm. I guess I will never be TheComputerLady. I will just tell people to search to forum. I am not all that sure what the browser bar is either. At the office, I just called the computer experts and put up with eye-rolling.

Peggy, what I was referring to is the address bar at the top of your web browser. It's the one that has the Internet address, such as City-Data.com Forum: Relocation, Moving, Local City Discussions

I hope this helps. Some people really have a problem with computers and to some people they are like second nature. To me, it's like second nature so I can't comprehend why it's difficult, but hey - we're all different and that's good!

If we were all as good as you are with computers, I guess you wouldn't have a job! So, people like me are job security for you. That's what the computer guy at my last job told me... I was his job security.
