Once my dog wanted to come back inside late at night. Without really looking, I let him in. I didn't know he was carrying a big possum in his mouth. I had to go in and wake my husband up.

I hate to show off my weirdness again, but here goes.
Man Food I have made, but not too recently: (These are all one course meals-so you have to make a lot) Gizzards and ramen noodles (add hot sauce), mm good, cave man like. Frozen pizza with my own additions of 1 POUND *whole package* of any type of cheeze, but not velveeta- found in fridge, buy pkg of pepperonis, and/or chopped ONION that was sitting in veg bin for weeks and weeks. hot sauce optional if you don't have any of those packets of dried red peppers from pizza hut leftover. Macaroni and cheeze (instant) and jalapenos or banana peppers. If you sweat its good. (Any) Campbells soup- chunky is best- added to ramen noodles, and hot sauce. Cheap cajun hot sauce will do, long as it is cheap, but sometimes I go down the ethnic route and buy some brand with a guy in a sombrero. CHUN KING chicken chow mein - you ADD frozen stir fried veggies!! hmm, just like the commercial pictures~ well, kinda. I get snobby veggie sometimes too, you know. And if you don't want to cook, just open a bag of chips and have a giant iced beverage in front of the TV!!!! Feet up, shoes off. AHHH, thas bachelor lifestyle 101. Be sure and wipe grease on front of v-neck t-shirt for extra man points. And when special occasions arise (like football), just put in a block of meat in oven, --be it roast, turkey, ham, don't matter and get out the bread *must be whole wheat and the hot sauce... your buddies will thank you kindly. Now, back to your original programming. BURP! |

Please don't ever invite me to dinner Redbird, not unless you have a real recipe in your hands and I can see it first. This sounds like HeeHaw. Yum,yum. Ha.

That's another classic post from redbird! Good one redbird. I do some of that kind of stuff every once in awhile. I'll mix things up and experiment. My wife usually likes what I come up with.

Here's a good one (my own recipe):
Ingredients: Two tablespoons of margarine or olive oil (for the bottom of the skillet) 3 eggs 1 package of chicken ramen noodles (I use the marachan brand, those that come in the package; not the cup) 1 onion salt/pepper to taste Grease a large skillet with margarine or Pam. Dice onion and put in skillet on low to medium heat (you want to sate the onions until they are tender, not burned) While the onions are cooking, prepare the ramen noodles in a pot according to instructions. Don't forget to add the seasoning from the packets included with the ramen. The onions should be finished cooking at about the same time the ramen noodles are finished. You can sate them as fast or slow as you like, just don't burn them (a little is ok) Crack open three eggs and stir them up in a separate bowl as if you were going to scramble them. Empty the three eggs in (what is now) some simmering onions. Stir up the eggs with the onions until they are mixed together and the eggs are done. Pour in the hot, finished ramen chicken soup with the eggs and onions. It should have the consistency of a really thick soup. You can heat this on medium heat and let it get thicker (which is what I do) or just stir it for a few minutes until it's all mixed together and serve as is. I usually keep cooking it a little more and add a little hot sauce, some spices of my liking, or anything else (garlic pepper, garlic salt, chili powder, whatever you like). I like to heat mine up to a good simmer so all of the ingredients mix together really well, maybe a good 15 minutes or so, depending on your taste. This will serve at least two or three people. Maybe more depending on your appetite. Bon Appetite!

What? I am hurt, nay wounded by your snub!~ ![]() Actually, that IS the way I cooked as a serious college student. Ahh, those were the days. I still rarely follow recipes, I like to throw stuff together and only use recipes as a guide. These days, I have to FORCE myself to eat a little healthier, but back in those days I was only cooking for myself, so I made what I wanted when I wanted it. |

Hey Jessaka! Aren't you the one who gave your dogs your Thanksgiving dinner? ![]() (Sorry, it looked like RB was feeling very impugned so I felt obligated to stand up for him.... Future fellow Oklahoman and all... ) ![]() |

Here is condensed version of his manly man recipe, made while wearing boxer shorts and scratching buttocks once in while- cigarette dangling from mouth. (Jessaka says ) |

No, I haven't tried it. But it does sound good in a weirdo "once in a great while" kind of way.
I can't imagine your wife allowing you to throw that hodge podge together very often. Needs a little tweaking tho. Perhaps some bacon bits on top? ![]() |
