Maybe they're just trying to save money or keep the Utility Bill down.

Something that helps bring Christmas out is the smell of Ham baking.
It's just me and my dog Murphy this year, so if I get a pre-cooked ham, what would I need for just a "simple' preperation?

Syrup, pineapple rings and cloves!
Since our surviving family is about 2,000 miles away (We celebrated Christmas with them last October.),
we too will be having a small Christmas... Just the kids, wife and I...
We usually pick up a few strays each year, but not this year...
Too bad you're SO far away... (Otherwise you and your doggie would be welcome.)
My wife's awesome prime rib is the main course Tuesday.
MERRY CHRISTMAS MK!

Mk, if your ham is already cooked, you just need to heat it up. Usually the package will have the heating times.
I like to glaze my hams with fruit jelly and brown sugar.

Thank you, but even after 21 years of christmas dinners with upto and some years over 25 people at once (in-laws and in-law relatives and even retired Army colonels,, (my father in-law was a retired "Brigadier General", he was C.O. "Commanding Officer" at Fort Erwin(Ca) for 8 yrs),
Anyway, I kind of enjoy this.
Yes it's pre-cooked and it says 20min per LB, I bought a glaze at the store and found the instuctions behind the sticker. I have it ready for morning.
Thank You everyone
MERRY CHRISTMAS

I don't know where in OK you are, but why don't you and Murphy come to Terlton and have Christmas dinner with us?
I know it is a bit late notice but I just saw this post.

Hummus Anyone?
Anybody here ever had hummus? Delicious. The first taste I had was about 15 years ago in a Lebanese restaurant in Fort Worth. I found a recipe for it in the Food forum and made some yesterday for the first time. It came out great! It's very healthy too; it's made from sesame paste, garlic, chic peas (garbanzo beans), cumin, olive oil, lemon, salt and pepper. Here is where I got the recipe. Below is hummus with olive oil in the center for dipping (best with pita bread). We're going to have it with our Christmas dinner today..

Can you please pass the jelly?
Wow, Synopse, that is freaky, but looks good. Well, we are off to go to the Firelake Grand, they have prepared a nice buffet for me, and I am getting tired of being cooped up in the house.
Hmm, I wonder if they will have frybread....
