I am trying to find some of my father's family buried in Seminole County. My grandmother Ora White Reynolds is buried in Crossroads Cemetery, and I understand some of her ancestors are buried in Dora Cemetery. I would like to know where these two cemeteries are located.

) Did a little digging for you, seems Crossroads is in/near Sasakwa, OK and Dora is in/near Wolf, OK Here is a page that describes the location of Crossroads: http://www.geocities.com/smith73114/Crossrds.txt I'm still looking for Dora I wish I were closer, I would go grab snapshots for you, but my family (and my ancestors) are closer to Stephen's and Jefferson counties.Last edited by LadyRobyn; 10-04-2007 at 07:53 AM.. Ok... Dora proved to be a little more elusive.
Looks to be SW of Wolf on E 1360 RD...Brainy Geography gives coordinates as 35.04333 -96.70861 Oklahoma Cemetery If you go to Google Maps and paste in those numbers it will pinpoint the location for you. I hope this helps... I know how difficult tacking down those rural cemeteries can be!! My GG Grandfather (a Reynolds ) is supposed to be buried in the town where I live, but the cemetery is so old it is now surrounded by private property and mostly a pasture for cattle. ![]() |

Hi:
I just saw your post looking for some of your kin in the Seminole area Crossroads Cemetery and Dora Cemetery. My name is Jerry White and my Great Grandfather is Johnney Aubry White who, with his wife, Martha Alice (Hisar) White, is buried at Dora in Seminole County. One of their children was Ora White, born in 1899. Ora had at least 7 brothers and sisters of which William Clarence White, 1892-1949, was my Grandfather. The other siblings were Viola (b.1896), Myrtle (b.1899), Lonita (b.1903), Aubery (b.1905), Ruth (b.1905), Bonnie(b.1911), and Ezena(b.1894-d.1894). I have been told that I have relatives buried at Crossroads but have not been to look at the cemetery. If any of this sounds like people that you know drop me a line and maybe we can share information. Thanks and hope to hear from you, Jerry White |
