Another one that sticks out in my mind is a simple water tower that's located on a hill just west of U.S. Highway 69 in Muskogee. That water tower would be one of the things I looked at when I used to go to my grandparents' home growing up. It wasn't just any water tower, it was the shape, the image, the beacon of the final point of a long trip to see relatives in another state. On a recent trip to Tulsa, I ventured off to Muskogee, and I discovered that the water tower is still there, just like it always was. But there it was, the feeling of nostalgia. I could point to several places in Muskogee, but I always had a strange fascination with that one water tower. Since I have a photographic memory, that's just one of the things I remember about going to Grandma's.

Nonetheless, it is a priceless landmark.

Good post case44.

The signs on I-35 and I-40 that say welcome to Oklahoma. I like to travel, but when we are on our way home and we cross the border into Oklahoma, we always celebrate because there is no place like home and we are so happy to be back.

I know what you mean. I'm nostalgic as well.
