Sooner Magic most certainly was

When Murray took off down the sidelines towards the endzone, I was going crazy, yelling and screaming and jumping up and down. My kids rolled their eyes and said, there's mom doing her happy dance again!!! I just laughed at them.

It sure is nice to have braggin rights again.

For those of you who don't know, we are referring to the annual college football game played between the University of OK and the University of TX. It is called the Red River Rivalry (or Red River Shootout for those of us who know it as that). It is one of the fiercest and most honored rivalries in all of college sports.

Neither team travels to the other school. We meet in Dallas, TX at the stadium called the Cotton Bowl. This place was chosen because it is equal distance to Norman, OK and equal distance to Austin, TX from there. Each school gets exactly half the tickets so one side is all in crimson and cream (Oklahoma) and the other is in burnt orange (texas).

This rivalry is over 100 years old and is always held during the Tx state fair and usually on the second Saturday of October, although this year it was held on the first weekend.

Great fun and if you ever get a chance to go, you need to. It is a memorable event.

BOOMER SOONER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
