Default Relocating to Muskogee (VA Medical Cntr)

Hello all: I anticipate relocating to Muskogee (working at the VA Med Cntr). Are there any good (low/no crime) areas to live by the VA Med Center? I heard living just outside at Fort Gibson is a better choice. Any advice? Thank you.

Hi again, Jocodi. I guess I need to find out all about the VA Medical Centers. I haven't been in that area for a while, but Fort Gibson is a wealthier town with a higher white population. Muskogee is poorer and more black. I think that is the major difference. Both are really nice towns, though.

Hi, I would chose Ft. Gibson if I had a choice. I really think that small town is sweet. It has a two block historic district as well. Not much there, but who cares since it is so close to Muskogee?

The VA is close to alot of businesses. I am not sure where the housing area begins.
