There are quite a few sections 21s in Atoka County.

I have heard amounts of $1000 to $5000 per acre for leasing of mineral rights in the right areas. There might be nothing for you at this time, or it might be like stiffnecked says, hitting the lotto big time.

Maybe you should ask a good oil & gas attorney for advice.

Our courthouse in Hughes County is packed every day with people tracking down the ownership of mineral rights.

SoonerJoe, are you in the oil & gas business? Just curious. We don't have any minerals in that area, darn it!

We have an ad in our local paper to call (they probably want to lease your minerals). I don't know one way or the other about them, but they advertise a second opinion on the value of your lease: 1-888-545-8116. You should get as many opinions as you can.

That is exciting that they are calling you. Sounds serious. Good luck!

Default Atoka count mineral rights

Do you know if Atoka county has any oil companies looking to drill. We have 610 acres of mineral rights and the lease we had for the last three years in Atoka county has expired. If not are you familar with any good gas and oil attorneys in the Atoka area.

I don't know too much about Atoka County and the O&G activity there. Maybe someone else on the forum will be able to help you.

i hope this is an easy question. if i negotiate a 3year lease at $1,000 per acre, is it typically $1,000 each year or does that cover the entire 3years? i have also been looking at the land commissioner's report with regards to awarded bids. what is with the bonus signing? i certainly appreciate any help.

I've gotten a couple more offers for the 100 acres of our property in Hughes County. This one was ridiculously low; $250 for the whole shebang. I laughed as I threw the letter away. The other guy was going to offer $1000 per ACRE and I wouldn't take that so why would I take $250 for ALL of it?

This one was from a petroleum company in Fort Worth.
