No problem Xjay. I guess my mind is pretty open to the possibility of a Bigfoot because two times in my life I have seen something that I couldn't explain, and I guess a creature like that fits the bill more than anything else. Once, when I was around 7 years old, my sister and I were traveling across the old South Canadian bridge outside of Calvin and it was about dusk. We spotted what looked like a large man walking across the bed of the river and entering the brush up on the side. It wasn't a man for sure, and it was big. It looked very similar to the pictures you see of Bigfoot. It was about 100 yards away and soon disappeared into the brush and went up into the forested hills.

Another time, a few years later, several of us kids on the outskirts of Gerty were playing in a swimming hole outside of town when everybody started screaming and yelling. Being the leader of the bunch, I said "you guys quit fooling around!"

When I turned around, there was definitely a figure in the brush that was watching us, quite a distance away. We all scrambled up on the bridge and looked out through the forest. Something was running from tree to tree, and it wasn't a man either. This wasn't so clearly seen so I can't say what it was, but it was upright and moving fast. We all scrambled out of their barefoot on the hot dusty sand all the way back into town, which was about a half-mile.

There's my Bigfoot experiences, for what they are worth!

Wow, synopse, that was really cool. I personally believe in the big fella. Always have.

My people have legends of him from way before christo columbo got lost in 1492. There are just too many stories from too many tribes for it not to be true.

One Big Stink was spotted at an Indian casino parking lot, but the elders had the video destroyed because they knew what would happen if the media found out.

The media would have made that place a circus!

Thanks for sharing that with us Synopsis. There are several reports of Bigfoot being interested in Children like that, and I have seen exactly what you described running through the tree line like that. Great thread Redbird.

I would like to invite everyone who has an interest in learning more about Bigfoot to attend this year's Honobia Oklahoma Bigfoot Festival & Sasquatch Conference on Oct 3rd and 4th (Fri - Sat only). The site for both Festival & Conference is the Kiamichi Mtn Campground in Honobia. Oklahoma at the intersection of Hwy 144 & The Indian Trail HWY. The Conference is being hosted by the Mid-America Bigfoot Research Center based right here in Oklahoma and the Key Note Speaker is Dr. Jeff Meldrum (Sasquatch-Legend Meets Science). Dr. Meldrum is a professor of anatomy at Idaho State University and he will be making a presentation during both days of the conference. The site is not updated yet but soon should be: Honobia Bigfoot Festival 2007 [ Official Web Site ]

I hope this event really takes off after this year and folks look forward to attending every year (as I do). See you there!

Here is a recreation of that casino video that you're talking about redbird. At least I believe it is because they say that the tribal elders destroyed the tape.

I am glad that the tribe destroyed the tape. I hope no one ever catches one. I believe they exist, and it was neat that you saw one Synopsis. That would end my hiking days. The photo that Xjay has shown here, when enlarged, just looks like an ape, a gorilla. That doesn't seem to me to be what people describe when they talk about Big Foot, unless I am wrong.

So that clinches it, I'll run the camera if Peggy will do the lighting and Jessaka will steady the tripod for me... Synopsis can be the official "Holler and Faint" person and we are tossing out MK and Redbird as the 'bait'... (think we should rub them down with a dead skunk first??)

Sound like a plan??

I think I'd best leave my menfolk at home though, if the bigfoot we encounter is female she might think one of them is her baby or something...

Oh and NO guns!! I hate it when the Sasquatch 'hunters' carry guns!

so, mom, now that i've been browsing a bit... which one smells funny? me or dad?

XJay, that sounds like a fun convention.

That is a beautiful weekend for camping in the SE Oklahoma mountains. Not too hot, not too cold, and blue skies.
