The Big fella in Oklahoma
Forgive me for playing "john1960" here, but this is about the time of year when one starts hearing about the Bigfoot creature in Oklahoma.
I am sure this was discussed some time ago here on the CD forum, but not sure if it was ever discussed here on the OK forum. I realize a lot of people think the bigfoot is a hoax, but I have to bring up the point that many tribes speak of this bigfoot long before the european came to this land. Even my tribe has a legend on it.
I worked in the Hinton area and a friend from the Caddo tribe tells me they have a smaller version of bigfoot thereabouts. Their bigfoot is not 9 ft tall, but closer to 7 ft tall. Any way, just for sh*ts and grins, here is link to the story of an indian casino which caught a bigfoot on tape. Tell me what you'ns think.

To bad that it was a "reconstructed" video. I'd have loved to see the real thing! I'm open minded about such stuff and find it interesting.

I have heard stories about bigfoot for many years. In Love County in southern OK people told tales of a monster in the woods. There is so much empty land in far southeast Oklahoma that just about anything could be out there!

It's a HOAX!!!
Sorry, I just had to say it before anyone else does.
Actually, I believe in it, kinda sorta. I think my tribe which originated in the far north had stories of it. But the Choctaws also have stories on bigfoot.
Does SE Oklahoma get snow? I have never had any close encounters, but I have to agree there is a lot of open space in SE Oklahoma. Heck, there's a lot of animals like mountain lions here in OK that people just don't see.
I have dialup at home, so YOUTUBE is a big waste of time for me.

Do you mean the casino video or bigfoot in general?
I am more afraid of meeting a lion in the woods than bigfoot. I have heard a lot of claims of mountain lion sightings in the wilder areas to the east of us.
The hotbed about bigfoot is around Honobia in SE OK. I am a little suspicious because it is kind of a tourist thing, but some people are very sincere in their stories. It does seem like at least a skeleton would have been found by now, but who knows, they may bury their dead.

I'd believe "Harry and The Hendersons" first.

I just like to think that the "legend" of bigfoot has a little more credence to me because of its prehistoric origin, meaning long before europeans came to this country. Maybe its a human cultural trait because I believe they have similar legends in Asia.
We, meaning native Peoples, also have stories of the Little People, shape shifters, etc. which is a whole different thread.

What?! No drive by shooting? aww.
That show "Bigfootville" is on the Travel Channel right now. It's pretty funny. And pretty interesting. I dare mkfarnam to spend the night alone in pittsburgh county or down around SE Oklahoma.
go ahead... I double dare you.~ And you can take Synopse's camera with you.
