Hi my family is possibly moving from California to Oklahoma we have been looking around the Jay area. Any information you can give is appreciated. i know we are in for a culture shock so to speak and we are very excited about somehting new. Also my husband works for the fire service and was looking at Chloeta Fire does any one know anything about that business/company??? My daughter raises show pigs for 4-H and would like to continue that in Oklahoma any info there would also be appreciated. How cheap are groceries and such in Oklahoma for example we are paying 6.99 for a 12 pack of pepsi here in California and a thing of laundray soap is at least 11.00 our gas is 3.69 as of this morning. we are just looking at all aspects to make sure this is the right move for us. Thank you

Hi. I'll try and help.

I don't know anything about the Chloeta Fire Dept. But I can tell you that most all public schools in rural Oklahoma have extremely active 4-H clubs, so your daughter should really benefit from that. Groceries and just about everything you buy in CA are going to be cheaper in OK. 12 Packs of Pepsi generally run around $5, but you can find sometimes on sale for 3.99 or 2 for $6. Gasoline prices will vary across the state, but the state average today for unleaded is $3.34.

Hope that helps and good luck making your potential move.
