I don't wish to harm anyone... I just want them to disappear.
Just read in a National Geographic, probably a very old one since they were thrown out. Anyway, how my mind wanders. 3,900 or so people move to the beaches every week. That being so, I imagine that many places are losing people and many don't want to live in OK. No Beach. So in a way they are disappearing. No if the ocean levels rise, you may see an influx to OK.

I have a Dell. So far I love my Dell, and it had better last a few years. It is a windows vista. Now I am worried.

Where and what kind of AVR and UPS should I get?

I never worry about the ocean rising here...
I live on a hill in the mountains.
The worst thing that could ever happen here is that I'd end up with beach-front property.

I'm just going to mind my own business here and shut my face...

The cheapest of the better UPS's that have AVR are probably:
APC - Back-UPS LS - Product Information
As to where you can get them in OK... You might want to ask Synopsis or an OK local. You can get them on-line, but I don't like putting a credit card number out there, and the shipping on those things can cost a bit as they are quite heavy for their size.

I hate Dell. In fact, I am in a major dispute with them.

As far as Vista goes, do yourself a favor and have XP re-installed. I bought a new laptop that had Vista on it, and I hated it. It is a memory hog, slows down the computer in a major way and my professional software wouldn't work well with it.

I had a copy of XP from a previous computer and a computer guy here in Cleveland re-installed it for $60. Money very well spent, even if you have to buy the XP software.

BTW .... I hear Microsoft has come out with a new patch for Vista. It re-installs XP.

Well, it is 42 degrees, windy and gray outside. Guess I won't be sitting on the porch today, working. On the other hand, sitting by the fire in the living room with some classical music on and a cup of hot coffee still beats paying rent in an office in town.

For good classical music tune your computer to this url: COWBOY CULTURAL SOCIETY RADIO CHANNEL

What? Well, if I never need to do that I will, but I really like my Windows vista as it does things that are new to me, but we saved my old computer. It is boxed and wrapped in a garbage bag and then in the attic. Hope it will be okay. I probably should have just taken it in for a bigger memory chip and new harddrive, or whatever it needs.

ComputerGuy, Yes, I am a shopper, LOL, and I was about to go to Office Depot to pick up one, but they don't have any, and I didn't want to go to Muskogee in this drizzle, so I ordered one from the company you gave me. It is on sale, and the shipping is $7. It has a guarantee and power surge prodection. $67 includes shipping.

Hey, everyone, I have all of my Christmas shopping done, and I am headed to UPS here in Tahlequah to mail all of my packages. Aren't you all envious? I wonder how my friends and family will feel? Some said it was okay. They will probably open them early.

Hey, that is some radio station. LOL. Home, Home on the Range.

Good... A couple of my points have gotten across without me having to say anything negative.
