If it's over about 4 years old, it probably wouldn't be worth the money in the long run.

It is on sale, and the shipping is $7. It has a guarantee and power surge prodection. $67 includes shipping.
The page I linked to had models from about $119+.
You can't get an APC UPS with AVR for less than that....
But any UPS is better than no UPS.

Default OK expenses...

Hey folks,

Question:
In NH we have no sales tax or income tax, but our property tax is ridiculous.
(As in over $4K for just over an acre with a 2000sqft. dwelling and a 48'X64' pole barn.)

House and auto insurance are relatively cheaper than most places.

From what little I know, it should come out about the same in OK...
(I KNOW the property tax is super cheap.)

Any comments?

M.

You should come out cheaper in Oklahoma. I think there is a relocation website where you can plug in the numbers. I'll see if I can find it.

Hi,

I used the company that you posted. They said for a home computer and what I want it for it will work. We will see.

Property Tax here is cheap, but then when you are 65 you can have your taxes frozen.

Just checked it out....
They don't list anywhere NEAR where I live and work in NH...
Or where I've been looking at in OK...

Gonna have to generalize....
(Although I was yelled at for that in my one venture into the NH forum... "generalizing" (By a troll I think...)),
(The double ")"'s are correct mathematically.)
I won't grace the NH forum with my presence again.. Some of them hate the truth.
(Was only kidding about that "grace with my presence" stuff"... Even us New England folk aren't THAT arrogant... Well... Some of them are.)

From the info I gathered from our good moderator Synopsis, OK looks VERY do-able...
For us AND the good folk of OK... (Lucky for all involved..)
(You guys need to give him even more reputation points than he already has... He's worth it. He has excellent insight into things.)

Yeah, but home user stuff is not always up to par...
Then again... I'm a professional geek, your mileage may vary.

Regarding Dells... I'm going to shut up now and let my friends GP and schousse speak for me.

You're over 65???????
Never figured you for a day over 50.

We hope to meet you, amongst the other good people I've met here when we get to OK....
I can tell you this much so far.... Synopsis is the real thing, even in real life.

The income tax, when self-employed, is almost a moot issue, isn't it?

It is???
Do you know something I don't ????

I get taxed twice (federally) for being self-employed.
Care to share anything I don't know living in NH?
Although I may be "old enough to know better", I'm young enough to learn.
(Not being a wiseguy, just want to know.)
