Personally, I have never been there, but wouldn't drop a dog off there. We (state penitentiary) get too much business from there. But like I said, I have never been there, so can't really make a fair or accurate judgement.
We can always pitch in and get you r@pe whistle!!

That's NOT a glowing recommendation.... And so far as I know, you haven't lied to me yet...

Nice use of "@"... Wish I thought of that...
(Wish this place would allow me to give you another rep point.)
But it's not needed....
My wife carries an SP-101... (.357 Magnum)
And so will my daughter as soon as she's of age...
(My carry gun is even bigger... Not that I carry much up here... We have VERY little crime in this area.)
Sure beats the H*ll out of any whistle though!
So Muskogee may be out... NEXT!

Duncan!
$29,900
4bd 1ba 1500 sq ft $30,000
If you happen to win the lottery before you move...
Check out the sq footage on this little gem.
I'm really surprised there aren't more under $30,000's available here right now... must be slow season.

I just did an inspection in Castle. 5 miles west of Okeemah (where Woody Guthrie called home). No sales in the past year EXCEPT.....a MH for $7,500 and a house for $5,000. Looked in Okeemah for comparables and lots of houses sold between $19,000 and $35,000. And that country is pretty, too......rolling hills. I went through Cornwall (where Bill Tilghman was shot) and had lunch in Wewoka (about qa 25 mile drive).....and was VERY impresssed with Wewoka. What a pretty town. Not far from Seminole, Henryetta, and Okmulgee.....pretty close to Shawnee and OKC.....not that far from Tulsa. Pretty area. I would consider moving into that area.

I wouldn't live in Muskogee either, but it is a large enough city to find some good shopping. Now not real good, but they have a few larger stores like Pet Co, Office Depot, Lowe's, an Amish Cheesehouse, a hobby store that sells imports too, more restaurants although maybe not as good as Tahlequah, two books stores one is used. Just that if you moved to a place like Tahlequah where tornadoes never hit, you have that opinion to shop.

I think Wewoka is a pretty cool town. The Frontier House is a good restaurant there.

Hey all!
As you might have heard elsewhere, I'm the Computer Guy's daughter.
I would like to thank you guys for the info you all give to my Dad...It really helps! ^_^
I hope we get to see OK soon, Sounds fun...And exciting...Or maybe the word is different!
Maybe I need a change...But I'm a little nervous, because I've only known NH...
Though I have no worry about the people there...You are all really kind...
Gee Dad, quite a thread, Btw!

Hey Penguie, My family is moving to OK around the end of January (if we can find a house by then). I have a 15 year old daughter too. She doesn't do much with her e-mail, but she has a Myspace where she writes to friends. DM me if you want her Myspace address. Welcome to the forum!
