Google Maps fits the bill very nicely.
I can't believe I didn't go there in the first place... Duhhhhh?
(My son pointed it out to me at lunch.)
Check it out.

I always use Google Maps. I like the "get directions" and "search nearby businesses" features. I like that you can switch from regular maps to the satellite map, then to the terrain map.

uh oh....here I thought I was helping a kindred spirit. "My dad is great" is not that good of a recommendation. I was hoping to encourage someone that would make Texans and other "nice guys" think twice about moving here.....It really is time for a few more curmudgeons to relocate here. Reprobates are also more than welcome.

Don't take me wrong...
My dad is such a blessing to me...I could not love him more, Sir...
Great was a fast choice of words...But when I meant great..I mean GREAT!

Hey!

We're more alike than you think!
How else would I be able to enjoy your sense of humor....
You have to remember...
I'm on GOOD behavior here.

I REALLY am a curmudgeon (Ask my long suffering wife! She wouldn't lie!).
And as far as being a "reprobate".... I was a professional rock musician before I had kids! Seriously, I have proof!
(And photos!)

In fact...
I occasionally get reprimanded by Penguie... (Even these days!)
I can tell at least 2 good stories about that...
(But only if someone asks....)
I have NO idea what we did right, but somehow along the way, we did...

AND....

When I get there, I promise to do my utmost to keep the "wrong" kind of people away! (Those who'd want to change things in OK.)....

Please note that I was the guy who said:

Dude! Don't blow my rep!!!
I'm EXACTLY the kind of guy (who if he put his mind to it) would keep OK from looking good to the unfriendly and undesirable folk....
(Heck, on a good day, I'd get kicked off the forum for doing such a good job!)
I just wish I was smart enough to have done the same thing for my (formerly) beautiful, rural NH. It REALLY was awesome when I first got up here.

And.. With the exception of Synopsis (who's not really a Texan), I've had to deal with a few actual Texans in professional situations... They weren't too different than the fabled "M*ssh*les"... Except they sounded more like cowboys than Ted "The Keg" Kennedy....

PLEASE reconsider your previous statement!
I beseech you!!!!

M.

I have an IM though!

And thanks for the welcome!
Hi Penguie I know my daughter used IM (aol) when we had dial up internet service. Once we switched to DSL we dropped AOL and around that time all of Anna's friends started communicating on Myspace. I have a Myspace account myself and use it to check out what's happening on both their Myspace accounts. (I also have an 18 year old son). I can certainly understand if your dad has it blocked, though. I wasn't too crazy about it myself but since I keep tabs on everything I feel comfortable letting her use it.

DM me your e-mail address and I'll have her send you a short note.
