We can't do too much until we sell here, but I DO have someone down there (and y'all know him too) I'll be working with. Right now we're trying to narrow our choices down a bit as far as what area we want, so we can act quickly when the time comes...
Bet this will make you Okies feel good:

I used to enjoy the big Winters here, but we're pretty much all set with them now...
It's just a pain in the *** these days. Guess I'm just getting old.

BRRR!!! Now THAT is cold! I don't think I could handle that kind of cold for extended periods. It can easily get that cold in Oklahoma but it doesn't last for more than a few days.

That's not cold... I only wear a light jacket in that weather.
The REAL cold is when it goes down to -20 and -30 and stays that way for about a month... This year has been a LOT colder than last year.
(Whatever happened to all this global warming? I'd welcome some of that now.)
You get used to the cold and dress properly for it.
And while the snow may be pretty, managing it s*cks.
My back complains about all the shoveling...
It keeps saying "Oklahoma-Oklahoma-Oklahoma..."
The time has come to stop ignoring it.

But like I said, we pretty much wear reasonably light jackets here until it gets a bit colder than that.
The good thing about the cold is that it kills off bugs or at least makes them go into hiding.

I just hope we don't end up with another storm like we had last March....
Over 3' overnight... OUCH! (My back STILL hurts!)
That's when I try to convince myself, that smoldering heat and humidity with a few scorpions and tornadoes thrown in might not be better....
I went with the program last year, but to be honest, I've pretty much had ENOUGH of the Arctic Winters.

Not exactly. I wouldn't want to deal with the hassles of it. But I've never seen a storm of over a foot snow in my lifetime. And most of my Christmas holiday's have been in Wisconsin. Nothing seems to go across at the right time, though.
In fact, the record snow for the OKC airport is exactly a foot. Although I'd venture to say many spots around the metro have seen about 18 inches before. Since many places in Texas, including San Antonio have a higher record snowfall than here
