I lived in Tulsa back in the early to mid 80s and I swear we had one winter where there was almost always snow on the ground (I think it was 83). And COLD! It hardly ever warmed up enough for it to melt and then it would snow again. It was pretty but after awhile it got old. There was always a mess too.

We still have the original snow from just after Thanksgiving...
Under the 10+" of new snow we just got yesterday...
And we're getting 2 - 4 additional inches today...
But... Winter hasn't even begun here yet.

Hope I can get to OK BEFORE the Winter is over...
It would be a real drag to deal with the Winter here, only to deal
with the extreme heat of an OK Summer...
(I'd rather ease into it.)
But I know how my luck works, so I'm expecting it.

M.

I knew putting up a sticky to keep people on topic wouldn't work.

Getting off topic is just a natural flow of conversation that develops out of current conversations.

Yes it would be good if you could get to Oklahoma during the Winter. Winters are mild there compared to your neck of the woods CG. Come on down!

I dunno....
Weather comparisons are kind of important when it comes to relocation.

Almost 70 here today, although that's very out of the ordinary. The cold air seems to be bottled up north but it just won't push down here

I need a nice warm day this weekend so I can talk my husband into getting up a ladder to put Christmas lights up.

Sir,
I gratefully accept your kind offer.

I just spent the last 3 hours shoveling...
(Sure hope I'm not all crippled up in the morning... I start the day with an hour drive North.)

Like I said, I used to like the snow, but this year I think ALL of us are set with it.

I can try to send some your way if you like!
It almost got up to freezing here today!

Sure wish I could find a way to take it with me to OK so we could use it in the Summer.

Wouldn't you rather have some nice white snow?
I have plenty to spare... It's no problem!
