But we do have this cool thing called a telephone...

It might be easier if we try to set something up in advance.
Yep, that's a good idea. And yes, I could have called but I figured you were out shoveling snow; gettin' that exercise... Maybe this weekend?

No, and I didn't bother shoveling Sunday either because it snowed until Monday...
The wind was insane also... I never used to believe in "wind-chill factor", but I do now.

We can probably do it this weekend, but it would be smart to start by mid morning...

Don't forget to clean up the machine and defrag it the night before!

Also, some machines like yours come with a way to burn OS CDs or DVDs...
If you have that option, I highly recommend you do that ASAP...
(Gotta hedge your bets!)

ATTENTION!!!

We now have a "Tech Thread" (Yippee!), so this thread will now revert back to its original intent... Helping us outlanders learn more about OK.

I take full responsibility for bringing us off topic here...
Seems that no matter what I'm talking about, the tech stuff
just kind of finds its way in there. (I can be such a geek!)

We now take you back to regularly scheduled programming.

I'm a newbie here, but I wanted to add that I was born and raised in Oklahoma City and lived for about a year in Marblehead, MA. The two states are quite different in many ways. The thing that was most evident to me and which mattered the most to me, probably because of the culture I was brought up in, was that Okies are much more friendly. But for some people that wouldn't exactly be a plus.

So where are you now?

I was an MA native most of my life, then Southern NH and and now Northern NH...
We're relocating to OK as soon as our house is sold.

You speak the truth.
Just look at the difference between the MA, NH or NJ forums compared to the OK forum...

I should be camping out on the NH forum to help sell my place, but it just didn't have a good feel.
I like it here on the OK forum much better.

Also, I wouldn't want to live where people think friendliness is not a plus.

Stick around a bit and meet the good folks of the CD OK forum.
I felt welcome my first day here almost a month ago.
