Just got off my roof... Removing ice...
All my neighbors were doing the same thing...
(Anyone there ever heard of "ice damming"?)

Bet you don't have to do much of that in OK.

Is that when ice stays in your gutters and blocks the water? I have heard of that, but I have never heard of removing ice from your roof. Sounds dangerous to me.

It happens up here even when you don't have gutters...
Especially when one has multiple roofs.

It can be a bit dangerous, but I got onto the roof from a window,
and from age 11 to about 21, I worked for my father's construction company,
so I just pretended I was still a construction guy and went out and got the job done.

Wife and daughter were horrified the whole time.

Glad I won't have to do that in OK when I'm old and more decrepit.

I just checked the "My Settings" page, and someone used the term "Virtual Okie"....

I liked that, but I'd prefer to be a REAL Okie.

Thanks!
But I'd like to be a REAL, REAL Okie... Period!
I KNOW OK will work for us!
Our values are the same as the majority of Okies.

Thanks again Bud!

But, you will have to eat mountain oysters or beef tongue to wear the honorary NDN headband.

Then you can choose your NDN name. I will give you a few examples to get your imagination in gear:

Cyber Wind... or Two Bytes, uh....Spotted Keyboards, how about Swift Downloader Bear, He Who Defeats Blue Screen of Death, Dances on Cyber Paths, Lone Frag, Patches Plenty, ...Heap of Downloads

anyone else?

I'm pretty sure I know what mountain oysters are, and I'll pass on those.

If I was starving and it was prepared so well that I couldn't tell what it was, I suppose I'd eat beef tongue.

NDN headband? No problemo!
Especially if I get a feather for every machine I fixed.
(I'd look like the Chief in a matter of weeks.)

"Heap of Downloads" better describes my son.

"He Who Defeats Blue Screen of Death" is pretty good, but it's a bit long.

I'm thinking Swift RAM.

Ice daming is when your dogs bring in a large piece of ice from outside to eat, and you said, "Damn."
