A car is not a safe place to be in a big tornado. The thing is, those big tornadoes only hit once in a very, very long time. Interesting memories. I remember the next day all the insulation sprinkled all over the place. Everyone looked for peoples' family photos so they could be returned.
I also remember that there was plenty of warning for everyone to run or get into a shelter. I was in my storm shelter, but no tornado came to my house.
Have fun in Guthrie today!

Ahhhh.... Now I understand.
Any chance we'd find some Hendrix in your music collection?
I'd hate to be the only person in OK who wasn't a country music fan.

Cold there?
It's 30 and snowing here...
(But I'm NOT complaining!)
I went out in a sweatshirt.
Now you see why the heat and humidity are a bigger concern than tornadoes are to me.

I noticed the same thing back in MA...
Some the punks who could read became policemen.

I was the same way back in the day.
Saw the pics you posted...
Tornadoes don't look fun.
Also the area you live in looks a lot like here in the fall.

I imagine it would be if it trashed your house or car.

Mike, I moved from Cape Cod to Oklahoma (about 40 miles west of Tulsa) almost 4 years ago. Owned land in Maine as well, just sold t a few months back, with the plan of building and retiring there.
Despite the fact my kids and grandkids live in MA I will never move back there. I love everything about OK (ok, except perhaps the summer heat but that is only a short time). People are great, cost of living is low, quality of live is high, economy is doing good.
Come on down!!

Don't worry, not everyone likes country music in OK. Contrary to popular belief, many hate it.
