Great birthday, Oklahoma. The special last night made me laugh and cry. The re-enactment yesterday in Guthrie was great too. So neat of everyone to dress up in period outfits.

I just saw a video clip on kfor.com, done by Jack Ogle in 1982. For you young folks, Jack is the late father of Kelly, Kent and Kevin, who currently work for Channels 9 and 4. Go to kfor.com and scroll down to the Daily Videos. It's Jack's comment on the 75th anniversary of statehood. Neat.

I travel through eastern Oklahoma occasionally and have fallen in love with its lakes, hills and mountains. And the residents are extremely friendly.
