RB, the trailer looked good. I like Adam Beach -- he was really good on Law & Order -- he left the show after this season.
Do you know if this movie is going to be released in regular movie theaters, or is a TV movie? I would like to see it.

Most of these really cool indie movies never see the light of day in Oklahoma. OU or some other college might have a showing, or someplace that shows art film festivals.
We usually wait and get them on DVD. OR!!! You can fly out to New York City!!

One of my trainees does his "day work" as an EMT in Mayes, Adair and Cherokee Counties. He encounters some of our grandfathers who do not speak English.....only Cherokee.
I am proud that Chad Smith, Principal Chief, has insisted that all employees of the Cherokee Nation take language classes. Tahlequah (NSU) is offering degrees in it from what I understand, and you can go online and learn the language. If I were less busy I would learn it. When I preached at a mission to the TEwa, I began learning the language of the Pueblos, when I was in Greece I began learning that language, the same in Italy and Japan, I used to be able to handle Spanish, at least enough to order a beer and find a **** and a bano, I lived in Quebec and spoke a passable French, Sacre Temple, but the two native languages that are part of my heritage, I've never learned.......maybe next year I will take the time to speak it.......
I forgot, Wednesday my son's daughter (his first) will be born at the Indian Hospital in Claremore......wado

Is there a band of Cherokee in Claremore I don't know about? I only know of the UKB and Western Band cuz some of my fiance's family are ukb and Western Band. I was just curious cuz we know this guy who said he was Claremore Cherokee. I never heard that before.

That's not a movie, it's a documentary
Is there such thing as Indian language in print or writting? or their own alphabet?

There are over 500 ndn languages but not all have a alphabet but many do have the language in writing. The Cherokee have a alphabet as well as language in writting. They were one of the first I believe. That is why they are considered one of the "five civilized tribes", (I hate that term) along with Chickasaw, Choctaw, Seminole, Creek. These five tribes assimilated.

In response to the northern cherokee band you mention, they're a joke. They're not even state recognized. Neither does the Eastern nor Western band acknowledge them as ahniyvwiya. You should see the so called peeps that claim it. Twinkie all the way.
