It is a good time to see the box as well..........the river will be up.
Redbird, are ribbon shirts now common everywhere? I thought they were Pueblo...............

Don't hold your breath to see the River up, not in Albuquerque anyway. I crossed over the bridge today and there are still sandbars visible in the river. Although I believe there is a bit more water flowing than a few weeks ago.
I live near Old Town about a mile from the River. I'd love to go to the POWWOW but I don't do crowds well these days.

I've seen ribbon shirts at Native gatherings from all areas east of the Mississippi. Never been on the other side, except DC.
The GON has gotten HUGE! Pretty soon, they will need a venue the size of the Rose Bowl. I liked those bird singers. Especially since they were inter-tribal from southern california, which most people equate with hispanics. And I love the fact that they are all young people.

I was fortunate to meet Mr Chibitty almost 20 years ago. He was not only a great man, he was a very good man of courage, compassion and humor. I pray such traits are passed on to his decendents....we need men and women of that character and strength and wisdom in this country today.
