I stumbled onto a book called "Comanches in the New West 1895-1908" by the U of Texas press a while back. Much to my amazement I found photos of my Comanche great-grandmother and great, great grandfather in the book. My dad and all his family never knew these pictures existed while growing up in Lawton. This was quite a gift. Since it is book that has copyright protection I can't post the scanned photos here. It has been an very lucky and amazing revelation for me.

Yes, U of T Press has a LOT of great anthropology books. And their archeology is great too. Some of the parts of TX have a good climate for preserving artifacts.

I guess there really is a National NDN Taco Championship competition. Next weekend I think. Not sure.

Search on google for Old Man Komah and one can find the pictures.
