I stated that the fight is over With the SCOTUS ruling 2013.....Gays Win....we are just waiting for the other shoe to drop.....but it's coming Down from the SCOTUS..Either As Mandatory ...DP's or SSM for all LGBT that want them
Do you only mean Oklahoma will only be required to recognize same sex couples legally married in other states, or will it also require the state to issue marriage licenses to same sex couples who want them.
Anyway, I wonder how many million$ of our state tax dollars for legal fees will Oklahoma Republicans be willing to spend to try to stop the the other shoe from dropping? If there serious about Oklahoma government being too big and spending needs to be cut, they won't contest it.

It's going to be up to the SCOTUS to decide that matter...But All States Will Issue Either DP's or SSM and ALL STATES must validate Other States issues Documents Be They Marriage Licenses or Domestic Partnerships.....And It's Interesting to Note THAT The California Couple Who Took California To The SCOTUS...HAD DOMESTIC PARTNERSHIPS ( THEMSELVES ) Which Wasn't Enough For Them Because they Viewed It As Equal BUT SEPARATE!!!!

Ten's or Hundreds of Million Dollars...But History Is Already Written.....

I'm amazed that ( DVR InCogNegro) my Honorary Black Brother From Another Mother hasn't Started The Ball Rolling...by sueing the Tulsa County Clerk Office For Not Recogniting HIS OUT of State Domestic Partnership.....However He's All Talk And no Action I See...
SCOTUS stuck down Section 3 of DOMA while allowing Section 2 to stand. Therefore SSM who are legally married in states that allow legal marriage have the same "equal rights" under federal laws as any other married person. However, it is still up to states to address the legality of same-sex marriages in their individual states.
SSM has not gained an inch in Oklahoma or in a slew of other states. The couple who married on tribal land are recognized as married by the tribe, but NOT by the State of Oklahoma. If they want the equal rights as guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution, then they must marry in a state that recognizes same-sex marriages.
SCOTUS has very carefully ducked the question of what defines traditional marriage. It will probably be several years before it is addressed. In the meantime it leaves the children of SSM families in jeopardy. It you don't want this to happen to your sister, her husband, and their family would you want it to happen to your best friend and his partner? Most reasonable people would err on the side of caution and protect the child.

Why does one need to color, bold, and, underline everything they are posting? Makes it seem like they are yelling and desperate and its rediculously annoying to read making it all seem less meaningful. Just saying....
I don't hate gay people. I've just got a rigid, deeply fundamentalist, totally heterosexual love of not loving them..........even the cute ones............

No, I don't believe in god. I believe divinity was created by people to make up a sense of order and purpose, and has since become a way to control and manipulate people. You're pretty good evidence of that. You should also go back and read the definition of bigot that I extracted for you, using the same definition you provided. If you have problems comprehending it, let me know and I'll try to explain it... the best I can, that definition was pretty clear and easy to follow.
How exactly do you discriminate against someone against same-sex marriage? You can't say allowing same-sex marriage nationwide does that, because it doesn't. Explain yourself if you want, but I don't have faith you'll do a good job of that.
It IS your concept of marriage. It's what you know and believe to be true, but that doesn't make it so. You keep bringing up mistreatment of blacks in America from what you know! Why don't you take a trip to the Rocinha favela in Rio de Janeiro? That could really help put into perspective how black people in other parts of the Americas live, and what their social conditions are. Primarily black neighborhoods in America that also happen to be poor, such as Compton and Watts, are not quite as bad (even preferred) in comparison. My point with this (though I strongly suspect you won't get it) is that everyone has an idea of reality in their heads, which may or may not be true, which may utterly lack concepts that exist to other groups, and/or which may have a firm belief that their experience is the only way life is.
I don't care if this is considered a personal attack: flat out, you're a moron. You really are. Though in all fairness, you did the same in the quoted text. Anyway, I don't know if you need a kindergarten teach to read these posts to you and explain them in words you can understand or not, but you just can't grasp these simple arguments. People have explained to you in many different ways how domestic partnerships are not the same as marriage, and you just can't get it. I've tried to relate things to you, and you just can't put them together. I mentioned socially acceptable things that made non-whites inferior in the past in the hopes that you could understand. You understood that those practices were a means to make others feel unequal, but you can't understand that domestic partnerships for GLBT people are the same thing as separate bathrooms in the mid-20th century. Even at the federal level, domestic partnerships won't be recognized! States HAVE TO allow same-sex marriage for the federal government to recognize it. A few pages back I gave you examples of marriage rights at the federal level, and no matter what you think and feel about domestic partnerships, the feds won't recognize the union if it isn't marriage.
Again, they may support violence against racial minorities, but that doesn't mean they actually do it. You claimed you backed up your arguments with facts, so where are they? Show me some FBI report that reveals 100% of all Klansmen and neo-Nazis resort to hate crimes. When people like you perpetuate inequality to GLBT people, you send a message that it's not acceptable, which promotes intolerance, bullying, feelings of superiority and so forth. Support domestic partnerships all you want, you're still supporting a notion that people are below you. And if you could see yourself the way some others do, that's an insult.
You have some sort of superiority complex. I mean, this hogwash probably makes sense in your mind, but you do a godawful job of articulating it. That or you have nothing. Or both. What exactly did you "school" me on? What you're saying is like a white person in the 60s saying they support you eating in a restaurant, just not at the counter; they support you getting an education, just not with white kids; they support you riding the bus, just not when they want the seat you occupy. Whether you want to admit it or not, that is precisely what you're saying.
And this will be all kinds of good: on what grounds do I have to sue Tulsa? I don't live anywhere near there, and that domestic partnership has been nullified because we ultimately wanted different futures. I went to a protest against a Southern Baptist convention. I've literally spat in a Christian fundamentalist's face for getting in my face (again, literally) with his beliefs. I've gone to a lot of political rallies and put in more volunteer work in with a GLBT PAC than I did paid work. I bridged a gap between that PAC and my university to get more GLBT students politically active.

I know of no one in Oklahoma who wants to go back to banning those three things mentioned. And neither are those states who have it want to go back to banning same sex marriage or marijuana legalized in some way.
I think that has in large part to do with the fact that the next morning, the sun still came up, their rivers and oceans hadn't turned to blood, their cities still stood, and life carried on as normal. But the advocates against same sex marriage would have you believe the end times are nigh should we succumb to such debauchery.
Also I think the economic and tax revenue boosts helped. That and sound reason.

I'm responding to Bold 1. You and people that actually hate me like swake and other will take every opportunity to use the positions of power that you happen to obtain in life to A. discriminate against those that believe my way by doing everything in your power " to block employment opportunities " B. To make certain that we are blocked from living in your neighborhood if it's in your ability C.To make certain that we are barred from your clubs and organization D. You will make sure that we are marginalized to the best of your ability to do so E. and vilify and looked down upon as people who hate without a cause and as people who are fearful of Gays ( Homophobic ) when the truth of the matter is that you are the one who ..Hate Without A Cause And It's Eating You Up From the inside out the simple fact that a person believe in Domestic Partnership and not SSM Is No Excuse To Hate now think about it....DVR ..Incognegro my honorary black brother from another mother...LOL...FOMC.....
