I drive through there a lot and stop to eat at the Pizza Hut in town. It is a cute little town, and quiet. I like their downtown, it's quaint. It's a stone's throw from the Arbuckle Mountains, which are really just hills but they are nice all the same. I don't know about rentals or jobs. Here are a few links that might be of interest.

Davis Oklahoma (OK) Turner Falls - Chamber of Commerce

City of Davis, Oklahoma

Ada is close enough where you could find a job there, either that or Ardmore. I doubt that Davis would have much in terms of employment, but there might be some depending on what you were looking for. BTW, Ada is 35 miles from Davis, and Ardmore is 26 miles.

You might be able to get a job at Turner Falls park, but it would only be seasonal as it is closed during much of the Winter.

Here's a list of business categories in Davis. If you click on the link, it gives you the names of the businesses and their numbers.

Wow, I looked at one of the realtor sites and found that you can BUY a cabin there for 58K! That's dirt cheap, and it's in the Arbuckles. It's small (around 600 square feet) but if I were single I'd move up there in a heartbeat.

Davis is a very nice town with very nice people. I used to go there all the time when I worked for UPS. It does have a lot of seasonal business with Turner Falls, Arbuckle Wilderness, the former Platt National Park, and Arbuckle Lake.
