You can get all the winter events you want.......just 600 miles west and you have ski slopes and winter carnivals and when you are tired sliding around, come back to Oklahoma where all you do is freeze.

Colleen~~~ Remember you're moving to the bible belt and it's going to be better..People still believe in Christ there and they're not afraid of saying it!
Merry Christmas!

That will be a refreshing change!
MERRY Christmas to you and yours!
(I think that's the first time I've said that this year.)

Happy Winter Season everyone! May your Holiday be a good one!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
At work today they were discussing the Christmas tree competition for each floor of the three story building that houses our headquarters and the "Christmas" events going on about town.

I found out today why they're calling it the "Winter Event". It seems that we all had "Harrassment In the Workplace" training recently. I don't even want to go into that. Anyway, one of the things we were told in this training was we had to be very careful about not offending anyone. There were certain words we could not use in the workplace (yes, I know Freedom of Speech is at risk here). Some of the words on the list were words that no sane, compassionate person would use anyway, but some of them "boy" "girl" "dumb" "black" "crazy" are words we use in various contexts. How can you tell your co-worker that you prefer your morning coffee "black?" How can you tell your boss what a smart "boy" or "girl" you have at home? Or that some of your teenagers ideas about music is "crazy?" If someone overhears a conversation with any of those words in it -- that doesn't involve them, mind you, they can take offense at what's being said and file charges against you. In fact this happened to one of my co-workers who made a joke that someone (not involved in the conversation) overheard and filed charges against him. He had to go for "senstivity counselling." And believe me, I heard the joke, and there wasn't anything offensive about it and the person it was directed to laughed.
So it seems due to the fact that we have to be veeerrrryyyy careful not to offend anyone, they cannot even call the gathering "Holiday", let alone (gulp) Christmas!!!!

Well, I would find all that very offensive.

Yes, if you say something offensive, you are subjected to "diversity training." The USA is almost like a communist state these days.

Got any tips on how to be sexually harassed? I could use the ego boost.
