Went to the Medieval Fair at Norman today. It was really awesome. A lot of visitors were in costume, which made it fun. I had fried pickles and rode an elephant. Anna wanted me to do the bungee jumping with her, but I thought I should hold onto a little of my dignity, so I declined. Maybe next time. . . . .

If you think fried pickles were undignified, you should have seen me climbing on the elephant's back I think DH got a picture of it with Anna's cell phone. Going to sneak into her room tonight when she's asleep and delete it.

I hope so, but he says most of the people he works with are older. As soon as he finishes his GED, I'm enrolling him in OCCC. He was dragging his feet with the carpentry program and finally admitted he didn't want to do it. He'll do the filming program at OCCC, but he promised me he would also take some more art classes. He has some real talent there, but he needs to get some more training. He did a mural of cartoons on his bedroom wall that looks great. One of his art pieces was selected by the principal at his old high school for display in the main office. The main reason he left school was they pulled him out of his three art classes in senior year to give him "remedial" classes so he could pass the standarized testing. He immediately lost interest in school, and got into enough trouble that we pulled him out. The schools just don't seem to appreciate the fact that not everyone is a rocket scientist. And we can blame that on the "No Child Left Behind" debacle.

I hope Scott starts getting settled in and makes friends Colleen. He will, it will only be a matter of time. Then you couldn't drag him away with a team of horses..
