Hey Seab! glad you're alive and well...

I've been through OH and OK....
I'm pretty sure you'll like OK better.
I'll refrain from making comments about OH
in public. I've only spent a day there, and I suppose
it wouldn't be fair to judge the place based on that.

I will say that I've never seen so many police and signs posted stating
all the things you can't do there than in any other state.
Although you have to remember that I came from the "Live free or die" state so take that for what it's worth.

I'm glad you're back to work but sad to hear about BJB....
I hope she feels better very soon.

That's the right way to do it.... Unless you're rich or something.

Just because your arrival isn't imminent, doesn't mean you should stay away or be silent.... I consider you and BJB to be Okie forum regulars...
I'd miss you guys if you weren't around...

Heck, I spent more time here when I was in NH than when I got to OK.

It's been cool.... GP is very knowledgeable about the place and has taken the time to show us around a bit. I can't imagine a better introduction to OK.

BTW... He's gonna take exception with me for saying so, but GP and schousse are really good people they've treated us better than family.

They have a really cool spread here.... My daughter's turning into a country girl down here. She's like Elly May Clampett with all the animals.... She looks pretty slick in the cowboy hat schousse gave her.

My son got to go quad-running and GP let him learn about driving a standard transmission out here on the property in his pick-up truck.

They've been fantastic in helping us get set up in OK.
Our transition to being Okies couldn't have gone easier.
I don't think there was any real "culture shock" whatsoever.
We feel very at home in OK.

We'll probably be in our new place in West Tulsa this weekend...
Nice peaceful neighborhood... And less than 20 minutes from the center of Tulsa. It's a cool property we'll be renting until we get up enough cash to buy some land like they have here. (Did I mention they have a really cool spread here? )

We couldn't have done it without them...
So just remember all that the next time you accuse GP of being cranky. They are both much nicer than I am.

Well, I've taken my life in my hands enough for one morning....
Did I mention GP is a BIG Ol' Boy and schousse ain't exactly a wimp either? It's a good thing that I'm probably faster than they are.

Time to feed the chickens and goats....
I'm sitting on the porch typing this with my coffee
and they're all staring at me.

BTW... I have my own pet chicken that comes to visit me every morning.
I've named her "Chatty Cathy" because she likes to talk to me.

When I get settled in next week, I'm going to start telling all the prospective Okies that OK is horrible, but just between us "regulars",
OK really is better than OKAY.

That being said, you and BJB better not be strangers here.

hee hee You have NO idea how accurate you are. And that pic looks EXACTLY the way my Mom looked when my 'fostered' Robin would land on her head!! She HATED that bird, and the bird knew it so she would terrorize Mom every chance she got. LOL

Trust me, you haven't *lived* until you have had a Raccoon as a hair-stylist!

Have fun. She is so funny. Hang onto your winnings, don't give them back to the casino!

We're going tomorrow to Mustang's Woofstock. It's a "fair", I guess for lack of a better word, for doggies. We're bringing our dog to it. Should be fun, and different, if nothing else.

What? A fair for dogs? They love to smell butt all day.

For some reason, I thought the show was tomorrow night, but luckily I was on the internet and realized Vicki Lawrence was tonite! So we blazed out of the sticks and made it just in time.

Vicki Lawrence was a blast. Just think of Mama's Family after Mama has had a few brewski's and gets into some Rated "R" and rated "X" material. She was very funny. First half was her stand up, and the last half was in "Mama" mode. She even sang a few songs and danced up a storm. One was a rap song that had us rolling with laughter.
It was good for us old folks. She tackled politics, hollyweird, michael jackson, and too many other subjects to mention.

We didn't gamble one red cent! First time I have ever been in a casino and not gambled. But I had Jiminy Crickett with me, and he HATES gambling.

P.S. Thanks for all those DM's regarding our battle with the Big "C". I appreciated it very very much and so did Uncle Don.
