I wonder if you can put double-cheeseburger and fries into it? Maybe I can join GP's 300 pounder club. Any other fatties wanna fess up on how they are doing on their new year's resolution to lose weight? Hmm? Remember that thread a long time ago??

Better go on a diet? Well, I dunno. If it's mostly muscle, you'd make a good defensive tackle. Might need a different uniform than the one in the pic, though.

Yes. They put the "ink" to that deal last year and they are building it now... According to the article it is supposed to be shaped like a castle.

Decent healthcare IS something that is sorely needed in Duncan... we have a beautiful "State-of-the-Art" hospital, but the "care" received there is mediocre at best and frightening at worst. We had heard stories and rumors but I tried not to judge until we had dealt with them first hand... Now we have and we will NOT go back!

Yeah, right. Thank you for the nice compliment. Now I have to try and live up to it once in a while.

Nice one, Seeb. I figured you would like that Navy historical website.

We had a man from our church who was in WWII. He was on one of the battleships. Whenever he talked about those guns ablazing, he would always break down. It must've been a site for those young lads who were country boys to be involved in something that big.

I have also been eating nothing but healthy food, steamed vegetables and very little meat (mostly fish). I couldn't do too much walking because of the pinched nerve in my back/leg. Now, I'm able to walk again with less pain and plan to do much more.

You can do it RB. The secret to me being able to stay on this diet is that I use a lot of spices to make things taste great. I can give you a list of things to eat and good juicer recipes if you'd like. Oh, another benefit; my blood pressure, which was always borderline is in the very very healthy range now (105/70).
Synopsis, I also need to lose weight. If you're willing, I'd be interested in your juicer recipes and list of things to eat.

Battleships ... visually, the ultimate statement of power on the high seas. Submarines and aircraft carriers are the capital ships of today, but battleships are still the most handsome ships of all time.

This is BB63, the USS Missouri. World War II officially came to a close when the Japanese surrendered aboard the Missouri in 1945.

Talking Military Fun

You know the funny part about my Naval career is, the first and only time I was on a Naval ship, was when I was in the Army. We hitched a ride from one Hawaiian island to another on the USS Denver. On board I asked a E-6/ First Class Petty Officer, what kind of boat is this thing anyway? And he replied with a scowl on his face "this is a ship soldier and its a LST". So I asked him my next question, "Ok, so what does LST stand for, Large Slow Target!?" Boy did that tick him off, .

Thats why I chose to join the Navy CB's (Construction Battalion), I figured that as long as I was on dry land they couldn't blow the ship out from undereath me.

CB's "CAN DO"
