MK, you've been a BAD boy! No more of this copyright infringement nonsense. We like having you here. Now here's a smack up the side of your head (smack). Okay, you're forgiven.

Welcome back, MK, and don't post anymore copyrighted material or I will drive to your house and give you what for!

I had quite an interesting weekend. I had agreed to attend what I thought was a concealed carry class this weekend. I have shot guns before, but I have never been a good shot. I have never handled guns much or thought of myself as a person who would ever use a gun for self defense. So, my daughter and I agreed to attend this class near Depew because my husband wanted to go and he likes to bring a cheering section with him.

After a detailed classroom instruction in gun range safety, I find myself with a 9mm on one hip and magazine clip on the other, with a pocket full of 50 bullets, on a gun range learning how to participate in a shootout. Well, the other side in the fight were paper targets, so it was not dangerous. The main instructor was a Marine/Highway Patrolman, and he was a very good instructor. I finally gave into exhaustion and I did not complete the course, but the next time it is offered I plan to be ready and go back and complete the course.

So, that means that now I have another activity in my crowded life. Every week I am going to the gun range and practice what I have learned (like tactical reload) and fire at least 100 bullets.

Hey, Peggy, let me know when they run the next class. I may join you.
