Great idea. I got a job close to my home so I am going to try and bike there first and if that fails I will try the skis with wheels.

Fortunately there were a few in stock.

When there's no power, at least you can read if you have light.
Where did you find the oil lamps? I've been searching online for over a month, and can't find one that doesn't cost the earth.

Skiis????? Oh my!!! You could get a lot of use for them just west of where I live.

They showed Tulsa's damage on the Weather channel this morning. They really had quite a storm. They also said something about two tornadoes. Today we're under a severe weather watch.

OMG, you know how bad luck runs in threes? Last Sun. night DH's nephew passed on and last night Aunt passed on. You know how it goes.

I'm considering going to Wal-Mart for all the lovely A.C....
I don't have central air, and my air conditioners are tiny at the moment....

You have air conditioning on your bike?
A shower at work???
Perhaps you're one of those women who don't mind extreme heat?

Sounds like a bad idea for OK in the summer...

Hey CG, I know people here in DFW that bike to work. Of course, a shower needs to be readily accessible once they arrive. It was 83 degrees on Sunday morning when I got up; it was the "low" for the night.
