Default State Surplus auctions

In case some of the newbies don't know about this. There is an auction of state surplus goods, with online bidding available.

A friend gets all his computer supplies from this source, fixes them up, then sells them to make a buck or two. He gets laptops for $65, CPU's for $50 *(w/o HD, or OS).

Check it out! Its pretty good.

Thumbs up Great Concert

Anna and I went to the Zoo Ampitheater tonight to see Journey, Heart and Cheap Trick. It was sold out -- talk about crowded! We stood in a slow moving line for over an hour to get into the gate -- in over 100 degrees temp. I'm surprised there weren't dead bodies to climb over.

Concert was very good -- Cheap Trick was ok, Heart was good, and Journey was phenomenal. So much energy. We sure showed that Okies aren't a bunch of sticks. I waded through the smoke of so many funny cigarettes that it's amazing I was able to drive home.

I don't think I've ever heard Cheap Trick, but I do like Journey and Heart. I used to know someone who played back up for Heart back in the day when they were just starting out in Seattle, though by the time I met her she'd already quit the music scene.

Didn't anyone ever tell you we aren't supposed to admit we know what the smoke from left-handed cigarettes smells like?

I bet someone had a cheesy smile when they got home. Did you eat some sugar smacks at 1 AM when you got home?

Ahh, just like the good ol' days. Except back in the late 70's Heart didn't have boobs down to their belts, and journey didn't have walkers to help them get up on stage.

Poor Kari, you never heard of cheap trick? Like, O-My-Gah-HAWWWDD!!!

Here ya go kid, a blast from the past!
YouTube - Cheap Trick- I want you to want me

On another topic, Trick My Truck is going to have an episode with an okie on it. A bee keeper had his truck tricked out.

Okay, NOW I know who they are. I do like the music, it's just that most of the music I've heard in the past didn't have the bands/singers labeled. I had this mental image of Joplin's Cheap Thrills having morphed into something else over the years.

How do all those people doing videos on YouTube get around the various copyright laws? I've heard several versions of Eric Clapton doing After Midnight, and a couple of Judas Priest's Turbo Lover. Some are pretty good, others not so good. The vid of JP is great, but the sound quality is lousy.

Sorry, RB, about half way through I had to click out of it. My fear of heights just got the best of me. I still have flutterings in my stomach.

Hey RB, did you wear black while gettin' it? That was spectacular. It took a while to load on my machine so I went and made a snack. Munching away and then started the movie. Almost lost my snack!!! Those people are nuts. AND there were traffic jams. I guess I can google to find out where that is. Not Tenkiller I assume. Thanks for finding it.
