There are LOTS of excellent tutorials out there for the GIMP...
Google GIMP tutorials... (Duhhh... Sorry.)
I KNOW I guy like you would actually read them... And the user manual too.

While it will do most of the same things, the terms and menus are a bit different.
I suggested it to redbird, because it will be a LOT better than what he's currently using.

I downloaded it, but then it would not open the application, so I deleted it in a fit of anger! Make that rage, computers turn me into a savage raging beast.
I will calm myself and try again later. Do I click "run" or "save"?

Save it, then run it from where you saved it.
(That's an old Apache trick!)

The best thing to do is save it to your hard drive and run it from there. I highly recommend you download it. CG was right, it is a very powerful program; probably the best you can get outside of PhotoShop, and it's entirely FREE. No trial periods or any of that crap.

HOW..
Is that or was that an actual Indian word? You know, palms out, and then "HOW."

My son offered to write up a tutorial on downloading it and installing it if you need more help.
Maybe you need a session with your peacepipe before you try again...
That might help your rage.
Good luck!

Here is a link that you might find interesting. It's the 23rd psalm, in Choctaw (I don't know why it's not in Chickasaw on their website but since the two Tribes are literally brothers...), a regular english version, and an Indian version.

I already hit run instead of save and it is downloading. I am going to run to the post office and drop off a ton of christmas cards.
I would be a wild man with a photoshop software. I'd be posting crazy crappola and talk like Jimmy Durante, "I've got a million of them!"

Maybe that's why it didn't work the first time...
My wife spent over $10 in stamps doing that.

I'm still liking the "Bunny w/ pancake"...
(That was STILL the funniest post I've seen here so far...)
Imagine the power you'd have to create your own!
If you are not successful, let me know, and I'll give you "good medicine" to make it work for you.
