At my age that last ice storm the area had kinda freaked me out. It was the worst they'd had in a long time so it might not happen again in my lifetime. Positive thinking....I think you mentioned restaurants somewhere in a post. Have you run across "Impressions"? I think they are downtown now, but that used to be a haunt and they used to have great chow and reasonable when they were in the original location on Peoria. Time may have changed it. 10-12 years seems to do that. Still happy you are still alive... FCG |

Impressions no loner exists unless I am mistaken. But there are some really nice replacements around...........
Guess I was wrong..........ooooops......... The more I think about it, wasn't Impressions on the corner (nearly) of Lewis and 15th? The knocked it down when they built the Albertson's (now Reasor's) store there? |

I thought it was Peoria, but it could have been Lewis. I heard or read they did flatten it for some market. It used to be so 70's cool looking. At my age my memory is failing fast.

![]() Due to the many things to do, I haven't been around much lately myself. These days, I show up about once a week, on weekends. Hopefully, things will ease up so that I can visit more often. ![]() |

Sometimes for the better, but not usually. Since I've never seen Tulsa until this year, I have no point of reference to compare it to. Quote:
I did get to experience retirement for a few months this year though. ![]() It's not for me... Yet. ![]() Quote:

You can live in the country or suburbs and still be very close to the big city. And the big city is SIGNIFICANTLY easier to navigate than Boston was. ![]() I have an 8 cylinder vehicle (would rather have a 4 cylinder these days though) and pulled a trailer 1,700 miles and it cost me about $450 in gas... Not too bad... Cheaper than flying and paying a mover. ![]() Quote:
Since it's such a rare occurrence here, I don't imagine it would be a good investment for them. Quote:
In a couple of months, I may get adventurous and try the Golden Corral. ![]() As a rule, my wife's cooking is better than restaurant food. Lucky for me, she likes to cook. ![]() ![]() Thanks... At least someone is. ![]() |
