Our anniversary usually comes and goes each year, and then one of us will say a month later "hey didn't we have an anniversary last month?"

This year, though, I'm getting tickets to a Kenny Rogers concert at one of the casinos for our anniversary -- now if I could only remember to do that!

The Son hasn't been able to find work in CT. So he decided to move back home. *YAY* But he crashed his car and needs help getting it fixed.

Today was our Anniversary. 24 years with this amazing guy! (Married for 12 ) He forgot... Good thing I love him so much.

I need a vacation...
I'm so glad Jon is coming home!! I wish I could get my son to come home, but he's promised to come back after labor day. If Jon doesn't get his car fixed, and wants to hitch a ride with Scott after Labor Day let me know.

Doesn't either your daughter or her husband have medical? I thought she was a store manager, they don't give it?

Why? Because I am just the Gramma. Gramma doesn't get a vote... besides I give them all nicknames after they are born anyways.

HE'S the one who keeps forgetting! I don't mind MOST of the time... that's how I got my fancy new Camera. He forgot our TENTH anniversary and the Camera was a "make-up" present...

I always remembered the Month and the year, but I always got the 21st and the 23rd mixed up. (3/23/1985)
But I always remembered the first thing she ever said to me:
WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU LOOKING AT! I teased her about all the time.
In fact that's what it say's on my screen saver.
Thank-You. I read that to Jim this morning and he laughed. I don't remember exactly what my FIRST words to him were, but I remember what I was thinking!!

I ordered Jon's Car part online and had it shipped... he is working on it now. He is actually stranded at a friend's place until he gets it going again. He will be moving back with whatever stuff he can't sell in the next month, so he will be towing a small trailer.

I'll keep my fingers and toes crossed that Scott decides to STAY home this time!!!

Jen is the Asst. Mgr at her store and they do offer Health Insurance, but since she is pregnant already they consider it a "Pre-existing Condition" and they won't cover it. (She tried already)

IF she and her guy were legally Married he could add her on his insurance, but she is still legally tied to that moron who married her and ran off. (Looong story there, she has tried several ways to Divorce him AND spoken to an Attorney... Military..."war-time laws" a mess of stupid red-tape that shouldn't even apply but it does.) She actually DID track him down once and got him to sign papers...when she took them to the Courthouse the clerk said they had to be filed the SAME day they were signed. (I've never heard such nonsense. ) She didn't find him till late one evening, but he signed AND his signature was Notorized on the spot. They still wouldn't accept the papers and now he has disappeared again.

It's a mess...

I don't thnk they can legally claim that pregnancy is a pre-existing condition.

And if she's legally still married to the moron, and he's military, why wouldn't the military pay for it? After all, if it's their rules and regs that are keeping her tied to him, they should be responsible!

Kari, there is a TON more to the story that I don't want to post. The Miltary hasn't wanted to give her any info about him because they never lived together. (I've told her she needed to PUSH them a little harder.)

He has been AWOL, Arrested, and AWOL again. She didn't find out until last month that she HAS been covered on his insurance all this time...she found out when they sent her a letter telling her it had expired. HE told her he had gotten out of the Military over a year ago, but the Attorney said she had to have PROOF that he was out. We just recently found out the REST of the story. (when he got arrested.)

Maybe the letter of cancellation will prove that he is finally out and she can just put notices in the newspaper and not worry about getting his signature anymore... we'll see.

Default cool life ya got there, LR and Colleen

Wow, it really sounds like we could write a soap opera okie sitcom!

As The Goat Bells Turn...

Tonite's episode, Bubba comes home after a 2 week bender, but Buford's front tooth and favorite hound dog have gone missing after the barn dance... Beulah joins the rodeo as a bull rider and Iona gets Sheriff Fink fired for Taxidermy Sex Scandal...

Don't get too smug, we're saving a whole episode for you. [busy scribbling notes...]

After all, the Scarlet Pimpernel was a red bird, too.

That's a shame that she's tied up with that mess! But -- the baby will be covered under the dad's insurance even if Jen isn't. Hopefully her's will be a very uneventful birth so she can be in and out without too much of a bill. My nephew and his gf had a premmie last December, and the little tyke ran up thousands and thousands of dollars in hospital bills, but even though his mamma wasn't covered, the baby was under my nephew's insurance.

My son was a premie - barely - but had to be medevaced to Anchorage. He only spent 5 days in the hospital, but even then it was pretty spendy. There was another one in the neonatal ward with him who was a couple months premature, and his parents had a 20,000.00 bill just for getting him there in a private air ambulance! Fortunately, the state [most states, I think now] had resources for medical catastropic conditions, and that sure was one.

We do call Jon Bubba, but it has been a 6 YEAR bender...and just because I have a front tooth missing doesn't mean you can call me Buford.

Colleen could pass for Beulah, and Kari as Iona...

which just leaves YOU as our Sex-Scandal!
