CG, I appreciate your help, but I have downloaded umpteen programs.

I SAVED gimp, when finished I clicked on the gimp icon and it says gimp.startup.exe is not a valid win32 application

Someone said there is another free program similar to photoshop and gimp which I will try.

Should I assume you were paraphrasing the filename?
Just in case, the filename is "gimp-2.4.2-i686-setup.exe"

Hey!
I just thought of something...
Could your anti-virus or firewall be disarming the "exe" file?

Dunno...

Hope this helps.

Try right clicking on the downloaded file, and then select "rename." Make sure that .exe is at the end of the file, maybe that will work?

And since I'm a volunteer campaign worker for Hillary Clinton, I assume I'm not invited to your barbeque, CG?

You and you're family are MOST DEFINITELY invited...
You seem like good folk, you just need a little time in OK.

But even though you're from NJ, is it possible you don't know
Hillary's REAL history?

Please don't be offended, if you'll come, I'd certainly invite all y'all....

And Peggy, Jessaka, Synopsis, mkfarnham, LadyRobin, GP, schousse, redbird, nameless, happytown, and others I can't look up because I'm in the middle of something for work... I have enjoyed meeting ALL of you here, and quite frankly, who ever gets to be president won't change what is to be, so...
