So, come on, all you neighborly okies, give Karibear a few get well wishes. She really misses her internet. And her three dogs and her horse are probably very hungry by now.

Kari,
I hope you are okay! Please get better so we can read your kind words on this forum.

I didn't know that you were sick, but certainly wish you the very best.

Don't stay long in the hospital, it can be bad for your health!

We love you Kari. Take care of Kari.

Just talked to Karibear. She does not know when she will be getting out of the hospital.

She wants real food and of course she is worried about her animals.

She said she has been jonesin' for a taco. A good taco. I said oh god, all we have is taco bueno here in town. When she gets the okay from her doc, I will take her some fast food.

She has several ailments and I am glad GLAD she is in the hospital because she could have died at home and none of us would have known about it.

If anyone wants to, they can call her, she really needs someone to talk to...(hint hint COUGH-Colleeng!) anyone? She is in Holdenville General Hospital.

I don't think she has any family close by and her kids are in NYC and Alaska.

Did I forget to mention COUGH Colleeng COUGH has an urgent priority message to call her?????

Colleeeeen -olleeeen, -lleeeenn, eennnnnn (that's supposed to be an echo affect)

On another subject, hasn't anyone noticed a certain someone is obviously absent from recent Okie discussion thread? Tsk, tsk. How soon they forget. (sigh)

Have you guys seen GP's infamous xmas decorations? They are way cool.
Redbird, I am sorry I have not touch based with you for I am extremely busy. I am also sorry to say that I will not be able to help you because I do not have a car (my tranny went and will cost over 4 grand for a new one. On top of that, I have yet to learn how to repair trannies). Have you tried going to Bob Howard and getting a rate? I really wish I can help. I hope everything works out so you can drive again.

I would also like to send my condolences to Kari, who I will be praying for. Get well soon, Kari.

autotech4dallas, Not to worry, young man, I poured baking soda all over it today, and the battery post is clean as a whistle. It even made the "check engine" light go off.

Even if I did need help, I would've brought the car to you as an excuse to get out of Hooterville. But it starts fine and I am not sure what to do with the part I ordered. Maybe just keep it in case I REALLY DO need it?

And yes, we checked Boob Howard, they only wanted $250-$300 to change the battery cable. *the price of the part was $101.

That is why I will never buy from that Norman Honda dealer again. They are money-grubbers and their feet STINK!

Coating you battery posts and terminals with a lubracant will prevent corrosion build up. I put a thin layer of grease on mine

Awesome, Redbird! I am glad to hear you were able to get your car working again. Maybe you could try returning the part you ordered if you still have the receipt. If not, you can keep it, like you said, just in case.

Yeah, I do not understand what is the trip with these dealerships and it prices for parts. It does not seem to matter what manufacturer you are dealing with, you will expect a costly bill.

People tell me that independent shops are the best place to have you car worked on, as well as ordering parts but of course, it all depends on who and what.
