LadyRobyn your grandbaby is a doll! You are right, this thread does need pics, especially grandbaby type pics.

Gosh, I almost feel I need to add to the pile here.

Hmm. Leseee, uh, other than a weird adolescent joy with flatulence I am pretty healthy.

Just kidding. My only health issue is a biggie. I am a type II diabetic. And I don't have the self control to stop eating or eat correctly.
So, I have all the side affects, retinopathy, strange numbing tingling in feet, high blood pressure, and the latest is my eyes don't seem to want to make teardrops! Its called dry eye.

But I am one of those people that never get sick. I can't remember the last time I had a cold, flu or anything like that.

Our trip to the lung specialist was good news. No lung cancer, nothing growing! So, now Don is stuck with his old body for a while like the rest of us!

We ate at Golden (Showers) Corral on the way home. I surprised Don by getting my first plate with nothing but veggies. Gotta beat cancer before it starts, right?

Jammie, we have tons of lortabs, morphine, dialiduids, tylenol 3, and anything else you can think of for pain. And nausea pills to take the pain pills.

It was as if I had been doing leg exercises; you know, the ones where you lay on your side and raise your leg as high as it can get (and repeat until it burns)? The pain felt just like that and before too long I had to leave the store and return home. I could hardly get past the pain of pushing down the clutch with my left leg. As soon as I got home, the pain resided but it's still that way today if I try and walk very far. This has been a problem that has gotten steadily worse over the last eight months. It starts in my lower back and runs around the side and front of my upper thigh.

I will be seeing the doctor after the first of the year. Getting older sucks!
Have you been sitting at your computer for several hours? You need a chiropractor and ice, ice, ice.

Good to see you are home Jammie. I hate those types of pills and would be using my DMSO from the Feed and Grain store instead. That is if I were trying to keep inflammation away from my spine. I would be rubbing it up and down my spine, neck.

Robyn, welcome home too. Cute photos.

LadyRobyn the baby is A-dorable!!

I have one more Christmas event to go through yet. My family's Christmas Brunch which is always the Sunday after Christmas -- we all go our own ways on Christmas day, so this is our extended family gathering each year. We exchange gifts with the one person whose name we drew last October. Then we do our "Pirate" exchange which is always a lot of fun and silliness. Then, it's time to pack and get ready to fly off to OKC. So far the weather looks good for flying. What does everyone think of Piedmont?

OK Peggy, as soon as I get enough energy to shower and wash my hair, we're headed up to the old mall. It's the "indoor" walking spot for winters up here. I'll take my pedometer along and try to do two miles. Wish me luck. Too bad we don't live closer cause we could go together. I'd also like to go and see National Treasure this weekend, possibly today. Part of it was filmed up here.

Jessaka, I really hate being in hospitals, but this time I was in a new Surgical Center and it wasn't too bad. It was so nice and clean and they are so attentive there. Unfortunately, it sounds like the state doesn't like them and wants them shut down. The reason I went there is because some of the hospitals here have changed and the neuro said my insurance prefers that place and who would want to argue with their insurance as long as they're paying?

Redbird, so do you have problems taking pills, too since you have the nausea tabs for them? Oh, but you have to keep me away from morphine. I'm usually pretty good natured, but once I've been on morphine and they take it away from me, I'm a nasty little witch. Seriously, once I had surgery and DH went back to the surgeon and told him to send his real wife back home. They figure I have withdrawal from it. I just yell and scream for a couple of days and then I sit in my recliner and cry for another day. Then I go back to normal.

Diabetes is a rough thing to deal with. We have two cats and both are diabetic and get insulin twice daily. In the past, one of our dogs and one of my Mom's dogs had been diabetic. I've learned to never give an animal treats, but I don't know if that's the cause of it or if it was just fate.

Jess/Jammie, I get you two mixed up.

Nah, I don't take any pills. Those drugs are for Don, he is the pill popper. I hate it when they give him demoral, he sleep talks and gets really loopy. Starts talking to his departed loved ones.

It is beautiful here today. We went shopping for necessities and there are a million people out and about in Hootverville. Amost 25 cars.

If the gaps between the vehicles were filled in, along with the on-ramps it would almost be like LA.
